Rajmah Roti

Ingredients For 8
Wholewheat flour 460 gm
Kidney beans 230 gm
Green chillies 20 gm
Onions 60 gm
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves a few springs
Fat 60 gm
Cumin a pinch

Method

  1. Soak kidney beans for about 8 hours. Then cook till nicely soft.
  2. Grind together cooked beans, green chillies, salt and cumin. Mix with flour, keeping aside a little flour for rolling.
  3. Add chopped onions and coriander leaves and make medium consistency dough. Keep aside for half an hour. Knead well.
  4. Divide into even sized balls. Roll out 0.5 cm. (about 1/8") thick.
  5. Heat griddle. Bake each roti for a minute, add fat round the edge. Turn over. Bake both sides. Sevre hot.
